Wilhelm Rapp (Jurist)
Wilhelm Rapp (* 1942) is a German lawyer.
Wilhelm Rapp was President of the Hamburg Constitutional Court and the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (HansOLG) until April 2007.
In his farewell speech he addressed admonishing words to politics, which in the course of his succession discussion had stirred up disenchantment with politics.
He is succeeded at the Constitutional Court by Gerd Harder and at the Hans OLG by Erika Andreß.
From 2008 to 2020 he was honorary president of the Hamburg regional association of the German Red Cross.
Rapp is a recipient of the Emil von Sauer Award and a member of the SPD. He has been involved in the Rotary Club Hamburg-Dammtor since 1988.[1]
