Trine Jepsen
Trine Jepsen (born 29 September 1977) is a Danish singer.
Life and work
Jepsen became known after winning the 1999 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, singing the song Denne Gang with Michael Teschl. The victory also meant participation in the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest, where the song was performed in English under the title This Time I Mean It, making it Denmark’s first entry sung in English at the ESC. In the end they came 8th.
In 2001, Jepsen participated in the casting show Popstars and ended up becoming a member of the all-female group EyeQ, which disbanded two years later.
After that, Jepsen took part in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix twice more: in 2006 with the song Grib Mig, which she performed together with Christian Bach, and in 2009 solo with I Never Fall In Love Again.
