The Forum Fischbahnhof with the Theater im Fischereihafen

Theater im Fischereihafen (TiF) is a theatre in Bremerhaven, Germany, located at Am Schaufenster 6.

The theatre was established at the old fishing harbour in the “Forum Fischbahnhof” and opened on 10 May 1996. The 14 rows of audience[1] with a total of 300 seats[2] are arranged in an ascending fashion like in a cinema. If the ground-level stage space is utilized, a playing area of maximum 15 × 10 meters and a height of 8 meters is available.

The establishment of a theatre in the former Fischpackhalle IV was controversial in the run-up; however, space utilisation is now around 90%.[3] Every year, about 130 performances are given to a total of about 20,000 spectators. Among others, the Bremerhaven improvisation theatre “Instant Impro” plays regularly at the TiF; there are also regular events for children. The theatre does not have its own ensemble, but only presents guest performances.
