Sebastian Schönberger (born 14 May 1994 in Schalchen) is an Austrian cyclist.

Athletic career

Sebastian Schönberger rode for the Ried im Innkreis club (ARBÖ cycling team) at the beginning of his career.[1][2] From the 2013 season he rode for the UCI Continental Team Gourmetfein Wels, for whom he competed in the team time trial at the World Championships in Florence. He also competed at the Road World Championships in 2014.

In 2015 he switched to the Tirol KTM Cycling Team for three years. During his time with Tirol KTM he was again nominated twice by the national team for the World Championships (2015 and 2016).

In 2018, Schoenberger moved to Hrinkow Advarics Cycleang and finished fifth overall in the Czech Cycling Tour, a category 1 race. He then moved to UCI Professional Continental team Wilier Triestina-Selle Italia in the middle of the year. He competed in his first Monument of cycling, the Tour of Lombardy, in October 2018, finishing 58th.

In 2020, Schönberger signed a contract with the French Proteam B & B Hotels. At the 2020 World Championships in Imola, Schönberger finished 54th in the road race.
