Schächer is a district of the town of Hennef (Sieg) in the Rhine-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia
Location
The village lies at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level on the slopes of the Westerwald, but still in the nature park Bergisches Land. Neighbouring villages are Raveneck in the northeast, Buchholz in the west, Lichtenberg in the south and Kurenbach, Kuchenbach and Lanzenbach in the east.
History
In 1910, Schächer had the households of wife Heinrich Reuter, factory worker Peter Wilhelm Reuter, factory worker Johann Schorn, and factory worker Peter Josef Schwerm.[2]
Until 1 August 1969, Schächer belonged to the municipality of Uckerath. Within the framework of the municipal reorganisation of the Bonn area, Uckerath, and thus also the village of Schächer, was assigned to the then new independent municipality of “Hennef (Sieg)”.
