Rüdiger Perka
Rüdiger Perka (born 1962 in Cottbus) is a former German cyclist and GDR champion in cycling.
Athletic career
Perka competed in the GDR for the club SC Cottbus. He won the 1983 GDR championship in the team time trial on the road with his teammates Jan Gloßmann, Frank Jesse and Detlef Ernst. He took part in the GDR Tour four times, his best result was 33rd place in 1982.[1] In 1981 he could finish third behind the winner Bodo Straubel at the longest road race of the GDR Berlin-Cottbus-Berlin. He also finished the Lausitz-Rundfahrt in 3rd place. Internationally, he won the 1983 stage race for the Romania Cup with two stage victories. He also won several races on the track, but his main focus was on road races.
