Remigijus Baniulis
Remigijus Baniulis (born 7 December 1963 in Vilnius) is a Lithuanian civil servant, general of the fire brigade.
Life
In 1978, Baniulis graduated from the Leningrad Technical School of Fire Engineering at the Ministry of Interior of Russia Technician of Fire Safety. In 1991 he graduated from the Academy of Fire Service at the Ministry of Interior of Russia and became an engineer of fire engineering and safety. From 1985 he worked at the fire department in Soviet Lithuania. From 1999 to 2001 he headed as Director Personnel Department at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania. From 2001 he was Deputy Director and from 2006 to 2016 he was Director of the Fire Service of Lithuania at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania. In 2006, he was promoted to General in the Internal Service by Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas.[1]
Baniulis is a member of the Social Democratic Party LSDP (since 2019).
He is married. With wife Renata he has three children.[2]
