Pavlivka (Ukrainian Павлівка; Russian Павловка/Pavlovka) is an urban-type settlement in the south of Ukraine’s Luhansk Oblast with about 1000 inhabitants.
Administratively, the locality belongs to the municipality of the city of Sverdlovsk, located 9 kilometers to the southeast, and here it belongs to the Volodarsk settlement council municipality; the oblast capital Luhansk is located 49 kilometers to the north of the locality; the river Velyka Medvesha (Велика Медвежа) flows through the locality.
Pavlivka was founded in 1905 and raised to a settlement of urban type in 1938, since summer 2014 the place has been occupied by separatists of the Lugansk People’s Republic in the course of the Ukrainian war.
