The Pakistan Amateur Radio Society (abbreviated P.A.R.S or PARS), German “Pakistanis Amateur Radio Society”, is the national amateur radio association of Pakistan.[2]

After becoming a member of the association as a Short Wave Listener (SWL), interested Pakistanis who have reached the age of 18 can take an amateur radio examination at the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), equivalent to the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) in Germany, and thus obtain a license.[3]

The association is a member of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU Region 3), the international federation of amateur radio associations, where it represents the interests of radio amateurs in the country.[4]
