Moskva TV

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Moskwa TV was a German band in the field of electronic dance music.

In the early 1980s, Talla 2XLC began his career as a DJ in Frankfurt am Main, preferably spinning Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. Together with RaHen he founded the formation Moskwa TV, which was far ahead of its time with its techno sound. Axel Henninger could be won as producer. The debut album Dynamics & Discipline was produced by RaHen and Talla 2XLC together with Kurt Ader and Axel Henninger / Naskrent in his Dynaton Studio. During the production of the debut album Ion Javelin (Jan Veil) joined the band.

Ion Javelin (Jan Veil), the voice of Moskwa TV, came to Moskwa TV on the recommendation of his record company CBS. At CBS he already released his first single Dancing In Heaven under the pseudonym Gary Chandler, which, however, did not achieve great success.

RaHen and Javelin composed the vocal melody of Generator 7/8 together.

With Generator 7/8 and Tekno Talk Moskwa TV released two vinyl records, which were first played in various clubs of the Frankfurt techno scene and then also at bigger events.

After the release of the second longplayer Blue Planet (1987) there were disputes between the band members. Talla 2XLC felt that the influence of Ion Javelin was too much and they were looking for a new singer. However, since the candidates did not please or backed out, Ion Javelin returned to the formation. Talla 2XLC left the band because there were again disputes – this time with Axel Henninger and Ion Javelin about the copyrights of the songs.

In 1988 Axel Henninger left Moskwa TV because of money disputes with the Westside label over his producing activities. The naming rights then remained with Ion Javelin, whose record company Westside had reached a financial settlement with Talla 2XLC.

Axel Henninger then also made a name for himself as a producer, lyricist and composer. So he produced among others. Camouflage(Love Is A Shield, The Story Of The Falling Fighters and also co-wrote their hit Strangers Thoughts ), Paddy Goes To Holyhead, Okay, Deborah Sasson, Chandeen, X-Perience and De/Vision.

In 2003 Javelin released the album ‘Broken Surface’ (’03) together with H. Löwy (‘Chandeen’).
