Listed here are the known super-Earths, extrasolar terrestrial planets.

For most of these planets, the Earth-like structure has not yet been proven beyond doubt (see main article). Definitely proven rocky planets are shown in bold.

In the future, the number of known super-Earths could increase dramatically if many planetary candidates from the Kepler space telescope are confirmed. Of the 1235 candidates discovered by the beginning of February 2011, 288 are super-Earths.

(1) Due to the neglected and often unknown inclination, the known mass is usually only the lower limit of the possible planet mass, represented by “>”.
(2) Radius data are estimated values – all other astrometric and physical data are approximate values based on measurements

Footnotes

1 Latest findings indicate that the mass of the parent star is significantly higher and that it is not a brown dwarf but a red dwarf, resulting in a redetermined mass of only 1.4 Earth masses for the exoplanet. Should this be confirmed, there would be no system around a brown dwarf until now.
