Kellner is a family name that occurs mainly in German-speaking countries.

Meaning

According to Jakob Ebner, the name is traced back to the profession of cellar master (formerly Kelner) or the catering profession of waiter.[1] According to Horst Naumann, a naming after the cellar is also possible.[2]
