I Need a Girl (Part III)

I Need a Girl (Part III) is the first single from the album Prince of Belvedair.

Background

According to Kay One, he and Mario Winans knew each other for several years before recording the single.
In 2011, Glöckler then came up with the idea of recording a song with the singer. Since Winans was immediately ready for it, only the title had to be discussed.
Due to Mario Winans being so impressed with the song, it was to be called I Need A Girl (Part 3), making the inference to its two predecessors, where Winans was a songwriter on both tracks.^[1]

At the same time, the song represents the conclusion to the predecessors I Need a Girl (Part I) and I Need a Girl (Part II), the US rapper P Diddy. The song was recorded by artists Kay One and US singer Mario Winans. The single was released on March 2, 2012. The B-side of the single features the song Rain On You, which features a guest appearance by German singer Emory. The producer involved is Beatzarre, who produced many of the beats on the album. Both songs were recorded in Berlin.

Charts and Chart Placement

The single made it to number 29 in Germany, number 44 in Austria and number 39 in Switzerland. The single stayed in the German charts for eight weeks.

Music video

The music video^[3] was released on YouTube on February 12, 2012. It was filmed in Miami.
By the end of August 2012, it had already reached 7.6 million views. In the meantime, it was blocked by the label Ersguterjunge due to business differences.
Meanwhile, the video has been viewed more than 9 million times.
