Hans Hesele

Hans Hesele (* 15 December 1926 in Baden; † 4 November 2016 ibid) was an Austrian politician (SPÖ) and federal civil servant. Hesele was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1972 to 1987.

Life

After elementary school, Hesele attended the Bundesgymnasium in Baden. After graduating from high school, he studied at the University of Vienna and earned his doctorate twice. He worked professionally as a federal civil servant and was appointed Ministerialrat.

Hesele was a municipal councillor in Baden from 1955 to 1965 and held the office of town councillor from 1965 to 1967. Subsequently he was deputy mayor from 1967 to 1972. Within the party, Hesele was also district chairman of the SPÖ Baden, member of the provincial party executive and the provincial party presidium of the SPÖ Lower Austria, deputy provincial party chairman of the SPÖ Lower Austria and member of the federal party executive of the SPÖ. Hesele represented the SPÖ in the National Council from 10 October 1972 to 23 November 1987.
