GDR championships in indoor fistball 1958/59

The 1958/59 GDR Indoor Fistball Champions hips were the seventh staging of the GDR Men’s and Women’s Indoor Fistball Championships in the 1958/59 season, with the championship finals taking place in Leipzig on 14-15 March 1959.[1]

The teams were divided into three seasons.[2] Due to geographical proximity, the two newcomers played in Staffel II and Empor Barby moved from Staffel II (back) to Staffel III.

The top two in each division qualified for the championship games.

Promotion/relegation: the last of each season was relegated to the league. The winners of the three league seasons Aktivist Staßfurt (North), ISG Hirschfelde (South) and Motor Zeiss Jena (West) were eligible for promotion.[4]
