Bahnstation Distelhausen is a residential place at the name-giving stop, formerly Bahnhof Distelhausen of the railway line Lauda-Wertheim in the district of Tauberbischofsheim in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian northeast of Baden-Württemberg.[1]

Railway station Distelhausen is located about 400 meters west of the village Distelhausen on the railway line Lauda-Wertheim on the left edge of the Tauber valley.[1] The residential site is located on the Tauber valley cycle path and can be reached via Wolfgangstraße.[1]

On the Ordnance Survey map No. 6424 “Königshofen” of 1881, the village was listed as a ward.[2] The residential place came as part of the formerly independent municipality Distelhausen on 1 January 1975 to the city of Tauberbischofsheim.[3]

Cultural monuments

The reception building of the former Distelhausen station is a listed building. In addition, there are other small monuments not far from the railway station, for example a wayside shrine on the road in front of the building or the nearby Wolfgang Chapel at the Distelhausen cemetery with an open-air Way of the Cross in the cemetery wall.
