The Diocese of Gikongoro (Latin: Dioecesis Ghikongoroensis) is a Roman Catholic diocese located in Rwanda with its seat in Gikongoro
History
The Diocese of Gikongoro was erected on 30 March 1992 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Tantis quidem from territorial cessions of the Diocese of Butare and placed under the Archdiocese of Kigali as a suffragan diocese.[1]
