Christiane Marquardt

Christiane Marquardt (born 13 November 1958 in Berlin) is a German track and field athlete who – competing for the GDR – won the gold medal with the GDR’s 4-by-400-meter relay team at the 1978 European Championships (3:21.2 min, along with Barbara Krug, Marita Koch and Christina Brehmer). In the 400-meter race at these European Championships, she finished fifth (51.99 s). In the same year she was awarded the Fatherland Order of Merit in bronze.[1]

Marquardt started for the TSC Berlin. In her active time she was 1.71 m tall and weighed 55 kg.
