Body styles include notchback[6] and estate cars[7] are available. While the notchback saloon was introduced in January 2010, the formal[8] while the notchback saloon was presented in January 2010, the formal premiere of the estate saloon with the name suffix Hatchback followed at the Auto China 2010 in Beijing.[9] This is the first car developed directly in China as part of a joint venture. The car is equipped with two airbags as standard, while ABS costs extra. In July 2014, the one millionth vehicle of this generation was sold.[10] In the Indian market, the vehicle was offered until the end of 2017.[11] GM’s Colmotores plant in Bogota, Colombia produced the notchback variant of the vehicle between 2012 and 2019[12][13] and CKD kits of the vehicle were assembled in Ecuador.[14] In South America, the notchback sedan will be sold as the Chevrolet ChevyTaxi Premium[15] (in the 2020 model year)[16] and the station wagon was offered as the Chevrolet ChevyTaxi Plus[17] for the taxi market.
Drive
The car is powered by either a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a maximum output of 64 kW or a 1.4-litre petrol engine with 76 kW. While the 1.2-liter engine comes directly from the higher-priced Chevrolet Aveo, the 1.4-liter engine is actually more powerful than the Aveo. In India[18] a 1.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine with common-rail fuel injection and a maximum output of 57 kW was also available for the vehicle, marketed as the 1.3 SDE SMARTECH.
