The Cadre 45/2 World Championship 1937 was the 30th World Championship played in Cadre 45/2 till 1947 and from 1948 in Cadre 47/2. The tournament took place from 18 to 21 March 1937 in Groningen. It was after 1934 the second Cadre 45/2 World Championship in Groningen.

History

The new and old world champion in Cadre 45/2 is René Gabriëls. He improved the world record set by Albert Poensgen in 1933 in Cologne in the general average over a tournament (GD) clearly from 28.59 to 35.59. The tournament highest series with 216 was played by Walter Joachim from Berlin.

Tournament mode

It was played in round robin system up to 400 points. In case of a tie in MP (except in case of a tie in points for the winner) the score will be decided in the following order:

  1. MP = Match points
  2. GD = General average
  3. HS = Highest series
