Burkhard Schnepel

Burkhard Schnepel (born 29 September 1954) is a German ethnologist.


He obtained the Magister Artium at the FU Berlin in 1982, the M. Phil. Qualifying in 1983 at Oxford University, the DPhil at Oxford in 1987 and the Habilitation at Ruprecht-Karls-Universit├Ąt Heidelberg in 1996. Since 2002 he has been Professor of Ethnology (W3) at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
