(1208) Troilus is an asteroid from the Trojan group. It is used to describe asteroids that pass through the Lagrange points in Jupiter’s orbit around the Sun. (1208) Troilus is assigned to the Lagrange point L5. The asteroid was discovered on December 31, 1931 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth in Heidelberg.

The asteroid was named after Troilos, a legendary figure of the Trojan War.
